Darius is beginning his second year as a Thunder coach. He started as an Assistant Coach with the U12 boys Mayhem team in the Fall of 2006, and then accepted the job of Head Coach of the U17 boys team in the Spring of 2007. He selected a brand new U17 boys team (starting from scratch) and compiled a very impressive 10-0 league record in NCSL!
Darius is also an Assistant Coach with Towson University’s Men’s team, and has coached at the junior college, high school and club level for the last 15 years.
A 22-year veteran of the Prince George’s County Police Department, Qualls played college soccer at Prince George’s Community College and UMBC. He was a member of the PGCC soccer team in 1980 and 1981. He played for the Retrievers in 1982 and 1983.
